Having grown up on cattle ranches in Colorado,
Jesse will always be a Cowboy at heart. From the age of six, he has been involved in Rodeo, Christian Youth Groups, and Cowboys for Christ. However, his faith was severely tested when, at the age of fifteen, he broke his neck and became a quadriplegic. Despite doctor's claims that he would never walk again, God had other plans for Jesse!
When he was miraculously healed, Jesse vowed to dedicate the rest of his Rodeo career to saving Cowboy's lives. When he retired from Rodeo in 1998, he was one of the top ten Rodeo Bull Fighters in the Nation and held the title of Captain of the United States Rodeo Team.
In addition to Rodeo, Jesse served in the United States Marine Corp. After returning from duty, he studied Reproductive Physiology and Equine Science at Oklahoma State University where he was a member of their Rodeo team. He then spent a good many years managing large cattle operations across the United States and working with Cowboys for Christ.
He and his wife, Bobette, have extensive experience in music, teaching and Christian drama.
Rev. Bobette, a former state Pageant winner, is an accomplished writer, teacher and public speaker. Her focal point is bringing to life the written Word of God and truly transforming it into "living oracles" applicable to each individual. Her goal is to teach people how to be real with one another, real with God and to stir up that passion in all of us for the Living Word.
She is adamant about breaking free of tradition and doing things a certain way because "that's how they've always been done". She believes God is bringing in a new sound, a fresh Word and new revelation. The drama she presents is original work created specifically for that season.
Pastors Jesse and Bobette who live in the Cairo, GA area have two sons, Michael and Matthew, two grand-daughters, Eliza and Breanna, and a grand-son, Alex.
